Your org needs to do some IFS therapy and give you a hug so you’re integrated better and aligned with the highest possible expression of the system!
I guess that’s part of why we do IFS ourselves: in the hopes it trickles up and becomes a more widespread attitude toward the disenfranchised and alienated everywhere, AS alienated Radiohead style “Creeps” ourselves.
Still pondering this. Does life really find a way unless it is backed in a corner, desperate, frantic, scared, anxious, with a desperation that abandons or ignores arbitrary constraints, and is willing to cheat/ break things if necessary?
This, we submit, is why dukkha. Why and how it is fundamental to life. We would not be here without dukkha. This would not be.
Those might be the conditions under which “life finds a way” can be applied, but not the only conditions under which life can thrive. Maybe not the latter category at all. I suspect there is a dao that life can find when it has more capacity not eaten up by the desperation you’re describing.
So much of what we judge as dysfunctional are what you’re calling “shadow processes” here. The results of life finding a way amidst great adversity, pain, and opposition. Anger, rage, violence, abuse, resentment, jealousy, secret hate, anxiety - all problematic, clinical, diagnosable, horrible, undesirable, and - from the standpoint of one whose needs are met, unnecessary, unacceptable, and criminal. From the vantage of our current order and society, these are things we (rightly and justifiably) seek to control, correct, ameliorate, or eradicate. But from the standpoint of evolution and miraculous, determined life processes, these are life finding a way. Often by burning some very heinous fuel.
I still haven’t watched the most recent season! I feel a little deprived. But I also don’t want to support an intentional hyperstitious hypersigil for technological disaster.
Jurassic Park but instead of a cautionary tale about irresponsible science, it’s a heartwarming and inspirational story of overcoming obstacles and staying resilient in the face of daunting odds.
i just realized i am my org’s shadow process

Life finds a way. That's why it's life. What didn't find a way, isn't here - neither to see or be seen.
